RCMP are still waiting to release details about a body found near the Hurry Road area of Charlottetown over the weekend.
Police and Island EMS were in the area early Sundayafternoon after receiving a report of a body found in the area.
While RCMP confirmed the report to The Guardian Sunday, it is unknown exactly where the body was found.
The area is close to Upton Park and the North River Causeway at the entrance to Charlottetown.
"The Coroner's Office assisted by Queens RCMP continues to work on the identification of the found individual," said an update issued at 3:15 p.m. Monday. "There is no further new information at this time. (The) next update is not anticipated to be until tomorrow, April 22nd at the earliest."
In an apparently unrelated incident, RCMP responded to a report early Sunday evening of a person in distress in the West River.
The spokesperson said that search was called off later in the evening and is being ruled as probable debris in the water.
