Georgetown man facing drug charges after search

GEORGETOWN - A 35-year-old Georgetown man is facing several charges related to drug trafficking after Kings District RCMP executed a search warrant at a home on Maple Crescent.

In a news release, the RCMP said it seized about one pound of marijuana, hashish, money, scales and drug paraphernalia used in the sale and trafficking of drugs.

The 35-year-old man was arrested during the search.

Officers from the Queens District RCMP and the force’s dog service assisted in executing the search warrant.

The RCMP are encouraging the public to report any drug activity by calling them at 902-838-9300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

    Talk about hypocrisy, they are charging people and giving them criminal records for taking part in the very same thing that the government is investing our tax dollars into. I do not smoke this stuff, but how can we allow such a double standard????
