P.E.I. man sentenced to 295 days in jail for drunk driving, other charges

A Glenwood man who pleaded guilty to several offences including impaired driving was sentenced to almost a year in jail Monday.

In a news release, the Prince District RCMP said Justin Lloyd MacDonald, 28, was sentenced in provincial court in Summerside to a total of 295 days in jail on two counts of impaired driving, two counts of driving while disqualified from doing so and one count of dangerous driving.

He was given 15 days credit for the time he spent in custody while awaiting his court date.

Along with the jail time MacDonald is prohibited from driving for five years.

    Good to see the judges finally dealing with these people. Might save someones life putting him away for a bit. Perhaps he will have time to beat his addiction.
