Power back in central Queens

Power was out to some 2,400 customers in the Hunter River, Rattenbury, Central Queens area Monday night.

Maritime Electric crews went out patrolling from both ends of the outage area to locate the problem area, said spokeswoman Kim Griffin.

Power was restored just before 10 p.m.

"Crews found a powerline down on Route 13," said Griffin.

Affected communities included:

Anglo Rustico,  Argyle Shore,  Bayview,  Cavendish,  Clinton,  Cymbria,  Ebenezer,  French River,  Grahams Road,  Granville,  Hope River,  Hunter River,  Long River,    Mayfield,  Millvale,  New Glasgow,  New London,  North Rustico,  Oyster Bed,  Park Corner,  Pleasant Valley,  Rennies Road,  South Granville,  Springbrook,  Springfield,  St Ann,  St Patricks,  Stanley Bridge,  Toronto, and Wheatley River.
