Some internet services are unavailable through the Prince Edward Island government's website because of an Internet bug wreaking havoc with online services across North America.
All online services offered by the Prince Edward Island government have been restored after a temporary suspension brought about by the Heartbleed computer bug.
Heartbleed left some computer sites across the globe vulnerable, compromising usernames and passwords and other encrypted information.
During the suspension, staff at Information Technology Shared Services (ITSS) worked with the software developer to fix the issue and test the sites for reliability before bringing them back online.
Some Island government services were back up Thursday afternoon, with the rest fully functional by suppertime the same day.
