Snow covers a bicycle during an earlier storm that hit the Island.

It is now spring, but Old Man Winter is not quite finished with us yet as Environment Canada says a winter storm with significant snow is possible for Wednesday.

Because of this it has issued a special weather statement for the entire province - "a very intense low pressure system is forecast to track over Nova Scotia on Wednesday. Very strong winds and significant snowfall is likely with this system.

The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.
Please monitor the latest forecasts and warnings from Environment Canada at"

@clever if you read the Stratford commentatorspost again you will notice she didn't say anything about climate change. She spoke against "global warming". They are two different theories! One deals with rising temperatures and the other with regional weather variations.

Religious wackos will never believe in man made climate change and they will use every excuse to pretend it is not happening, like trying to say global warming is a different discussion. They will use WEATHER stories to try and back up their loonie (religious) faith based beliefs.

What a clever little girl you are. It's snowing so climate change must be a hoax. The bottom feeders are going to love that comment.

@observer. Obviously you dont listen very well when global warming is described. If you did, your silly comment suggesting you think global warming is about warmer temperatures wouldnt appear here. More intense weather and more frequent events (floods, droughts, rains, storms, etc) is global warming. The more you know!
