Stop the presses. Girl Guide cookies have hit the Island.

Island Guiding members are now selling classic chocolate and vanilla Girl Guide Cookies in communities across the Island.

For the fourth year, Guiding members will also be selling cookies to send to an Island Canadian Forces member serving overseas. Guiding members will be asking customers if they would like to purchase for themselves, for a soldier, or both.

Cookies purchased for troops will be sent through the P.E.I. Military Family Services Centre in Charlottetown.

A box of chocolate and vanilla cookies are just $5 and and all proceeds go to supporting Girl Guide programs on P.E.I.

Guiding offers the widest range of activities of any extra-curricular program — sports, science and technology, camping, the arts, community projects, and international travel. All Guiding programs and activities are designed to encourage girls to reach their potential, to give back to their communities and to become independent, kind, caring and confident individuals.
