There was no rise in propane prices when the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission made its mid-month price adjustments on the weekend.
Propane prices decreased by 9.4 cents per litre for Superior Propane and 6.0 cents per litre for Kenmac Energy Inc.
There was no change in propane pricing for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing.
The lowered prices were a welcome change after a shortage of propane in parts of central Canada caused prices to skyrocket in the past few months.
Other adjustments saw home heating oil prices, including furnace and stove oil, drop by 7.0 cents per litre. Diesel prices also fell 6.0 cents per litre.
The price at the pumps also fell, but not as dramatically.
Gas prices dropped 1.5 cents per litre, which pushed pump prices down to 136.8 to 137.9 cents per litre.
The next scheduled price adjustment is on April 1.
