Megan Morrison's Class 8C at Montague Intermediate is the only P.E.I. school entered into Canada’s Coolest School Trip contest.

MONTAGUE — A local intermediate school class is hoping for Islandwide support in its efforts to win Canada’s Coolest school trip.

“We are in the top five right now, but we need all the support we can get,” said teacher Megan Morrison.

Class 8C at Montague Intermediate is the only P.E.I. school entered into Canada’s Coolest School Trip contest.

The class created a one-minute video on Dalvay-by-the-Sea which can be viewed and voted on at  www.myparkspass.ca.

“We spent Sunday, Feb. 9, at Dalvay national historic site filming and learning the history of the site,” said student Ryan Lowery.

“To move on to the second round, we need the community to help us out with votes. We are the only school on P.E.I. entered into the contest.”

The grand prize is a four-night class trip to Victoria, B.C. Voting runs from March 3 to 24.

Morrison's class won the contest in 2012.
