A 51-year-old Lennox Island woman is facing drunk driving charges after two separate tips from the public came into Kings District RCMP Wednesday evening.
Mounties stopped the vehicle described by the callers on Main Street in Montague at about 5 p.m.
The driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested. She provided breath samples in excess of double the legal limit, say RCMP.
"Tips from the public continue to play a vital role in reducing the number of impaired drivers on P.E.I.," said Const Doug Baker.
