A special weather statement has been posted for the rest of Prince Edward Island for Saturday night and Sunday.

Near 20 centimetres of snow is expected Saturday night into Sunday morning for Prince County.
“This is a warning that significant snowfall is expected,” Environment Canada said late Friday.
“Yet another low-pressure system will develop off the eastern seaboard of the United States on Saturday and track northeastward toward Nova Scotia on Saturday night.”
Snow is expected to begin near midnight Saturday and become mixed with ice pellets during the overnight hours. Lesser snow amounts are expected over eastern portions of the Island with precipitation changing more quickly through ice pellets to rain.
There is a risk of freezing rain during the changeover for central and eastern portions of the Island.
Gusty winds are expected throughout the Island by dawn Sunday, and Environment Canada says wind warnings may be required for early Sunday morning.
