A 22-year-old man is facing drug charges after Kings District RCMP allegedly found marijuana and Percocet in his apartment in Montague.

The Kings District RCMP street level drug unit executed a search warrant on Feb. 12 with help from uniformed members.

They seized marijuana, Percocet and paraphernalia related to drug trafficking.

The accused, who was arrested and released, will appear in court at a later date to enter pleas on charges related to possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

In a news release, the Kings District RCMP said the misuse of prescription drugs is behind a significant number of crimes not directly related to drugs and apprehending people involved in trafficking remains a priority.
