Bridgette Blanchard performs at The Guild Tuesday night as part of P.E.I. Music Week.

Pix Bylorne wins Music P.E.I.'s visual artist of the year award

Credit Union Music P.E.I. Week continued at The Guild in Charlottetown Tuesday night with performances by Bridgette Blanhchard, Dakota Oliver, Laura Mohan and Dylan Menzie.

The event was called Art for Music and celebrated the best visual art created for music.

Music P.E.I. also handed out its award for visual artist of the year at Tuesday night's event. The winner was Pix Bylorne. Other nominees were Moe Chandler, NHDT Photography and Phil MacIsaac.



The Georgetown Playhouse is the place to be Wednesday night for the Songwriters Concert with Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo as the featured guest. 

Outside of the awards gala Saturday night, this is the most anticipated event of the music celebrations. Besides Cuddy it will feature the songwriter award nominees Meaghan Blanchard, John MacPhee (Paper Lions), Ashley Condon, Jordan Cameron, Dennis Ellssworth and Catherine MacLellan.

The gala awards ceremony is Saturday night in the P.E.I Convention Centre.
