SOURIS — A 57-year-old Souris man is facing drunk driving charges after a motorist contacted RCMP about seeing a possible impaired driver in Souris.
Kings District RCMP officers stopped a vehicle near their office and took two breath samples from the driver, which were both over the legal limit.
The man was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Georgetown Provincial Court on Feb. 27.
A news release detailing the arrest closed with saying the P.E.I. RCMP thanks the public for passing on information related to possible impaired drivers. They "encourage you to call anytime you suspect someone is operating any type of motor vehicle, or vessel while impaired."
