Kings District RCMP are requesting the public's assistance in locating a vehicle which was involved in a hit-and-run collision in Montague before Christmas.
The collision took place at about 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 19 in Montague.
A pedestrian who witnessed the crash said a truck travelling east on Brook Street in Montague struck a parked car and took off. Nobody was in the parked car at the time and it sustained considerable damage to its rear bumper and trunk area.
The witness told RCMP the suspect vehicle was a single cab, silver half-ton truck and the driver was a heavy-set, dark-haired man with a moustache. Mounties say the truck should have damage to its rear passenger side quarter panel or bumper area.
The struck vehicle was a black 2010 Ford Focus.
RCMP is asking anyone with information about the truck or driver who left the scene to contact the Kings District detachment at (902) 838-9300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
