All the snow and ice that has fallen in the last eight days can make for some pretty scenes such as the historic buildings on Great George Street in Chaarlotttown, but there is still a freezing warning in place for P.E.I. for the rest of the day and into tonight.

Environment Canada says that periods of freezing rain across the Island will continue today and tonight as a trough of low pressure south of Nova Scotia moves slowly northeastward. Freezing rain will come to an end later tonight as the system moves away.

Tuesday should be mainly cloudy with a chance of flurries and Christmas Day is going to be a mix of sun and cloud with a chance of flurries, Environment Canada states.
