Snow and freezing rain creating slippery driving conditions, says RCMP

RCMP are advising Prince Edward Island motorists to use caution when driving for the next 24 hours.

Snow changings to rain and freezing rain has resulted in slippery road conditions across the province.

An Environment Canada snowfall warning is still in place for the province.

A further 20 centimetres of snow is expected as a trough of low pressure continues to persist just south of Nova Scotia.

Snow and or ice pellets are expected to continue into Monday then change to rain Monday evening.

A total snowfall/ice pellet accumulation of 20 centimetres is expected.
