A snowmobile driver and his young passenger were taken to hospital Tuesday evening after their vehicle collided with an SUV at a trail crossing in New Annan.
The collision took place at about 6 p.m. on Route 2 where the Confederation Trail crosses the highway.
Both vehicles sustained damage but were driven away from the accident scene.
The male adult driver of the snowmobile and his male youth passenger were both transported to Prince County Hospital. The youth was transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further examination.
A family of five from the Coleman area who were traveling in the SUV were not injured.
RCMP from East Prince Detachment are investigating.
