PRINCE COUNTY - A 21-year-old Prince County man has pleaded guilty to negligence causing bodily harm to a three-month-old infant.

The Crown dropped a second charge of assault causing bodily harm.

A pre-sentence report has been ordered in this case. The man will be back in court Feb. 11, 2014, for facts and sentencing.

The identity and home community of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

The man was charged in early August after a lengthy investigation by Prince County RCMP, which started in June.

Police were alerted to the situation when a family member brought the child into Prince County Hospital. Subsequent X-rays revealed there were several broken bones.

Police have said the baby has since recovered from its wounds.

Not releasing this mans name is just aiding and abating him to be able to do this sort of thing again.

A 3 month old? How in the world could anybody do this to a 3 month old? This guy is seriously disturbed and a complete coward. Anybody who does this to a baby doesn't deserve to be in society. People blame upbringings for this kind of behavior. Well I know many people who had terrible upbringings who would never think to do something this awful.
