Summerside police release video of hit and run

SUMMERSIDE — Summerside police have released a video of the vehicle being sought in a double hit and run incident Thursday night.

Police say at about 8:30 p.m., Dec. 5, a 2011 red Ford Edge came off Convent Street and struck a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan travelling north on Granville Street, causing considerable damage to both vehicles.

The driver of the Ford failed to stop at the scene and continued to Water Street where it turned east and struck and destroyed the light standard at the intersection of Harvard and Water streets. The driver also failed to stop at this scene.

Police said they have a suspect vehicle in this matter and are attempting to identify the driver at the time of the accident.

    Set up a special monitor and play these videos (in a loop) at the local Tim's . . . crime would decrease by ten-fold.

    the owner must need repairs to the car. so i wonder has the police contacted all car scrap dealers in the maritime's and car repair places? i am also wondering they can't be that many cars on PEI to match the one missing maybe search motor vehicles. i know the police has done this i'm sure? lol
