Fire fighters from Charlottetown Station Two attend the scene of a possible arson fire involving trucks at the Schurman cement plant off Mount Edward Road Thursday.
A fire that destroyed three trucks and heavily damaged a fourth Thursday at the Schurman concrete plant in Charlottetown was accidental.
"It is not being considered suspicious any longer," said Gary McGuigan, deputy chief with Charlottetown Police Services.
A problem in the engine of one truck is the likely cause, investigators have determined.
"It may have been electrical and the fire spread to other trucks because they were parked close together," said McGuigan on Friday.
The fire broke out about 10:30 p.m. in a line of trucks parked at the concrete plant. Initial investigation included the possibility of arson but that was ruled out, said McGuigan.
