P.E.I. Premier Robert Ghiz has congratulated Liberal Leader Stephen McNeil on his victory in Tuesday’s Nova Scotia provincial election.
“Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia have always shared a deep relationship due to our geographic proximity but also share many common interests,” said Premier Ghiz, who says he looks forward to working with Premier-designate McNeil in the years ahead.
“I also want to thank Premier Darrel Dexter for his dedication and leadership in the Atlantic Provinces and his service to Canada as chair of the Council of the Federation in 2012-2013. I have enjoyed many years of collaborative work with Premier Dexter and I want to wish him well going into the future.”
