The Confederation Bridge has issued an advisory noting that traffic restrictions may be necessary later this evening.
The bridge has received a site-specific weather forecast from Scotia Weather Services predicting high winds.
Beginning at about 11 p.m. tonight, Monday, Oct. 7, winds are projected in the 65-75 kilometre/hour range, gusting to 95 km/h.
The forecast indicates those high wind conditions will remain the same until noon Tuesday.
The Confederation Bridge closes to certain vehicles when steady winds recorded at the bridge exceed 70 km/h with gusts consistently exceeding 85 km/h. Restrictions during these times usually only apply to high-sided vehicles, motorcycles, and vehicles with objects in tow.
