Charlottetown Police Services charged a 61-year-old Australian native with impaired driving Tuesday.
Police say they received a complaint just after 5:30 p.m. regarding a possible impaired driver in the vicinity of the Red Shores Casino on Kensington Road.
Police made a patrol of the area, located the accused and placed him under arrest. He was jailed at the provincial correctional centre.
The man will appear in provincial court in the near future.
Police have expressed their appreciation to the public for their assistance in keeping Island roads safe. The public is encouraged to report any instances of impaired driving by calling 911.
