A fire Sept. 23 on Wharburton Drive off North River Road in Charlottetown destroyed the garage of this house and caused some interior damage.
Charlottetown police are investigating a recent house fire on Warburton Drive after the city's fire inspector ruled it suspicious.
Deputy police Chief Gary McGuigan said the department met with fire inspector Winston Bryan last week and he turned over some exhibits from the scene.
The police have sent those exhibits away for analysis and the investigators are waiting to get them back from the lab, which could take a while, McGuigan said.
"You're probably looking at the three- to six-month range."
No one was hurt in the Sept. 23 fire that destroyed a two-car garage and damaged the attic of a house on Warburton Drive in Charlottetown.
The house's lone resident wasn't home at the time and a neighbour called in the fire.
Heat from the fire damaged neighbouring houses and the home was left uninhabitable.
McGuigan said police had no suspects yet in the case.
