KENSINGTON — An accident in Kensington this morning almost sounds like something out of a movie scene.
A Toyota Corolla was heading west on MacLean Avenue when the car collided with a parked trailer being towed by a truck.
A lawncare company had just finished unloading a lawnmower from the trailer and was going about its business when the car hit the ramp and flipped unto its roof.
The driver, who was the only person in the car, wasn’t injured and managed to crawl out the back window.
Lewis Sutherland, Kensington police chief, said the only reason the incident wasn’t more serious was pure luck, that the work crew wasn’t near the trailer, and that the driver was wearing his seatbelt.
It appears that speed was not a factor, however, the driver may have been distracted.
Sutherland also said that a single charge has been laid against the driver under the Motor Vehicle Act.
