RCMP look over a car involved in a fatal collision on Meadowbank Road Monday.
Queens District RCMP has released the name of the victim of a fatal single vehicle collision that occurred Monday in Meadowbank.
Siamak Asgari, 67, Rothsay New Brunswick was pronounced dead at the scene, after having been ejected from his vehicle.
RCMP said the crash occurred at 1:20 p.m. on Route 19 in Meadowbank.
The man was the lone occupant of the vehicle, which was travelling southbound.
Police said a preliminary investigation revealed the man had overtaken and passed another vehicle when he lost control of his car.
He then struck a ditch, which caused the vehicle to roll.
At which point, the driver was ejected from the vehicle.
RCMP Const. Ben SARK is reminding the public to wear their seatbelts.
Asgari is survived by his wife, Dorothy Murray, and step-children Cheryl Wright and Wendy Wright as well as step-grandchildren Kendra Wright, Courtney Wright, Mason Rogers and Noah Rogers.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from Hampton United Church, Hampton, N.B.
