Charlottetown Police Services
Charlottetown Police responded to 185 calls for service over the Gold Cup and Saucer weekend.
That included two assault investigations in the early morning hours of Sunday.
One was at the CDP track, the Red Shores Racetrack and Casino.
"Two females from Nova Scotia were identified as being involved in a physical altercation and both attended Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment as a result," said a police report.
The matter is still under investigation.
Another early-Sunday-morning fight took place on Great George Street.
"Police attended the area and found a 28-year-old man had been assaulted," said the police report.
Island EMS attended and the man was taken to the hospital.
"Suspects have been identified and the matter remains under investigation," say police.
