TYNE VALLEY — The funeral arrangements are being finalized for a woman who died in a crash on Route 12 in Tyne Valley.

Donna Hodge, 49, of Harper Road, near Tignish, died at the scene.  She leaves behind two daughters, a son, and their families, as well as many other family members and friends.

According to police, Hodge's car, a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire, hydroplaned, left the road, struck a snow bank and rolled over. Because she was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the passenger side window.

Police stated that it was the ejection and the resulting injuries, and not the rollover, that caused her death.
