The power is now back on, but school is still closed.

Gulf Shore Consolidated School closed for the day after a power outage affected the North Shore and central Queens County this morning.

All power was restored before 1:15 p.m.

Maritime Electric had two crews working on the Line Road in Rustico where ice on the lines and some broken equipment resulted in the outages.
