In November 2007, Steve Connolly had a heart attack and was close to death. He drew on the strength of many loved ones to rebound, to return to work, to return to his life. Connolly’s book They Touched My Heart will be launched Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Georgian Room at the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel. Learn more about Connolly's story in Saturday's Guardian.

Steve became a friend and mentor to me as my guidance counsellor at Colonel Gray. Over the last 30 years I have relied on Steve for advice and conversation in both financial matters and life. I value his honesty, his knowledge and friendship. I'm sure his book will be a testament to his outstanding career and life.

It is wonderful you pulled through and very impressive that you took the time to write about this and share your experience in the way of guidance to others about to forge forward in their older yet vibrant years. To your health. Best wishes to you, Marg and the family on your remarkable recovery.

Steve, Marg and Shayne....... I look forward to reading your book. I am so glad you pulled through. Marg, when I last saw you it was at the Stanhope Inn. You surely didn't look like a woman who had the weight of the world on her shoulders. God Bless you, Steve and the family.
