SOURIS — There were no injuries when a school bus with children on board struck the rear of a car in Souris at approximately 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Souris RCMP say the bus had turned onto Chapel Avenue where a car was stopped preparing to turn onto Colville Street.

Police said the bus driver applied brakes and the bus slid on slush, striking the back of the car.

Police said nobody was injured and there was no real damage to the bus. The rear of the car sustained some damage.

Police said no charges are pending from the low-speed collision.

I can tell you some SCHOOL bus drivers are driving too fast for road conditions especially in urban areas. Experienced in heavy duty truck driving.
