Thirty seconds of fun is worth the walk back to the top

On their way back up the sledding hill to make another run one woman was heard to remark to her friend that it seemed like a long walk for just 30 seconds of fun speeding down the hill.

But judging by the number of sledders who flocked to the hill behind Stonepark Intermediate School Saturday the walk was worth it for the ride down and especially to hear the screams of delight and smiles on the rosy faces of the children.

Saturday was an almost perfect day for sledding and as one parent remarked, the City of Charlottetown should more places for sledding. Not everyone has the time or even a way to get to Brookvale or some other hill outside the city. The same parent also said if a resident in one of houses ringing the sledding hill opened a hot chocolate stand they would make a fortune.
