Police nab timbit thief

MONTAGUE - RCMP are thanking the public for assistance during an investigation to nab the timbit thief that struck the Tim Horton's here earlier this week.

A 15-year-old male has been arrested for the armed robbery that occurred just before 3 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at the temporary coffee shop trailer. The male resident of Montague demanded money from employees on the night shift. The main Tim Hortons operation is shut down while undergoing $400,000 in renovations.

The youth has been charged with robbery, disguise with intent and breach of non-custodial order. He was remanded in custody and will appear for a hearing in P.E.I. Youth Court in Charlottetown, Jan. 15.

    50 years ago the clerk would have smacked this jerk in the face - and that would have been the end of it

    Let's hope this young man gets the help he needs. Our "snag and bag" drive through justice system just doesn't work. I'd bet that a few hous honest conversation with Danny Murphy and those he victimized would do a hell of a lot better than a few months breeding criminality at the Youth Center.

    In Montague its all about the drugs-I know the kid that did this and thats what it all boils down to.

    Really nice of you to make a joke out of a serious situation. It was an "armed" robbery. Not funny, not a joke and im sure as heck the worker or workers that he robbed weren't laughing either.

    they'll probably give him 10yrs. He robbed Tim Horton they gave mr cantelo 5 yrs, but he only killed a young woman
