Egmont MP Gail Shea is no longer doing double duty.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced recently that Keith Ashfield is returning to Ottawa after recovering from bypass surgery.

Shea was filling in as fisheries minister while Ashfield was recovering.

Shea also continued to serve as National Revenue minister.

“I am very pleased to welcome Minister Keith Ashfield back to Ottawa as he has made a full recovery and remains in good health. He will return to work this week as Minister of Fisheries and Oceans,” said Harper.

“In his absence, Gail Shea, minister of National Revenue, has done an excellent job as acting minister of Fisheries and Oceans while maintaining her existing responsibilities. Because of her dedication and teamwork, Minister Ashfield will be able to quickly pick up where he left off.

“Thank you, Minister Shea, and welcome back Minister Ashfield.”

That's a bit of a leap; from saying the people need to get more involved to me running in the next election. Then to say, I have no cause to complain. With comments like that I can only presume you were offended by my comment. That is unfortunate... People do need to get more involved, it is important. The Governments seems to make a lot of bad decisions and poor choices that negatively affect the people. Perhaps if the Government had more guidance from the People they would make better choices and good decisions that positively affect the People and in turn the Country.

I want to see credentials for these Ministers. Are any of them really qualified to be doing what they are doing? Both Federally and Provincially Ministers should know their perspective fields of Ministry... It seems to me they do not really know what they are doing. Both Federally and Provincially the Government seems to be 'flying by the seat of their pants'... Both seem to have 'the Corporation' in mind and not the people... We all need to get more involved and to have more opportunity to get more involved.

By all means XCOMA, if you want to get involved, then put your name forward to run in the next election. Until you actually do, then you have no cause to complain.
