Marijuana, ecstacy pills seized from Montague home

MONTAGUE — Kings District RCMP Drug Unit and Police Dog Service conducted a drug search Tuesday night at a residence in Montague where marijuana, ecstacy pills and related drug trafficking evidence were seized.

Three people were taken into custody, including a 54-year-old male resident, an 18-year-old male resident and a 17-year-old male non-resident.

All three suspects were released from police custody and will face charges of possessing controlled substances for the purpose of trafficking. No court dates have been set.

The Kings District RCMP encourage the public to report incidents of drug dealing to Crime Stoppers and the RCMP.

    I don't think there are "medicinal" ecstacy pills!!

    Marijuana is the least of this provinces worries. The government should just legalize it already and save us tax payers some money.

    Larry, if these men had been found with marijuana only and there was a perscription for it, then your comment might be valid but since there was also ecstacy found...it doesn't make sense. Anyone in the illegal drug trade, in my opinion needs to be removed from our streets so that they are not drawing our children into the hell they've created. Some are users and are sick, they need professional help but that doesn't excuse what they're doing. Others simply want to make money...and yes...these people are scum.

    Interesting, considering the motorcycle clubhouse is down that way. I hope the good work continues. @Larry-I don't know what legalized medical use has anything to do with illicit drug trafficing?

    suprer job guys. the more of that scum you get off the streets the better. now we just need the government to make the laws better longer jail time,fines.

      Fact: A man can go to a playground and flash himself and get less time than a man with 6 marijuana plants. We need stiffer penalties all right...
