Hundreds gathered at Province House in Charlottetown Friday to watch the annual light show get underway.

Father Christmas was on hand to throw the switch, followed by cookies and hot chocolate. It is all part of the Wintertide holiday festival.

    Theres a simplicity about these Christmas lights that make it all the more beautiful ! Merry Christmas to you all on beautiful Prince Edward Island :)
