Ellerslie man arrested, charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking

ELLERSLIE – BIDEFORD – Police have arrested a 59-year-old Prince County man following a search of his home on Tuesday.

Members of the Prince District JFO Drug Unit and Criminal Intelligence Services searched the home on the Harts Gravel Road in Ellerslie-Bideford.

Police seized fourteen six-milligram Hydromorphone capsules along with some cash and a cell phone.

The man was released and will be summonsed to appear in Summerside Provincial Court at a later date to face a charge of possession of Hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking. 

The Prince District JFO Drug Unit is comprised of officers from Summerside Police Services and the East and West Prince RCMP detachments. They are responsible for drug investigations within the Prince District and Summerside city areas.
