The Guardian has scheduled two more open houses as the newspaper continues its 125th anniversay celebrations.

The North Rustico Lions Club will be the scene of the next one from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

Another open house will be held at the Holland College Summerside waterfront campus from noon until 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15.

The public is welcome to attend both events. Members of The Guardian team will be on hand to talk about the newspaper — its past, present and its future. A display of historic Guardian front pages will also be on hand.

Snacks and refreshments will be served.

The North Rustico and Summerside open houses follow a series of anniversary events held throughout 2012 marking The Guardian's 1887 beginnings. Along with the open houses, The Guardian released a commemorative book, 125 Years Through Our Eyes , and a three-section special supplement, Snapshots in Time.

While I like the look back, when is the Guardian going to review the 7.5% rollback story? This was one of the most important issues of our time and it appears that it's being ignored. This story is important since it still resonates with the value system being thrust on Islanders to this day.
