Couple threatened at knifepoint

SUMMERSIDE - A Summerside man is facing numerous charges after a man and woman were threatened at knifepoint Tuesday on a downtown street.

Clifford Junior Murl, 34, has been charged with two counts of uttering threats, two counts of assault with a weapon, three counts of failing to comply with a probation order, and one count of being in possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace after the afternoon incident on Water Street.

Police said the victims were known to the accused.

    I once saw a man threaten my friend with a knife. I also saw that same man leave the scene on a stretcher with a permanent soft spot on his head and a new respect for messing with strangers. It's too bad this BOY wouldn't have run into my friend. Loser...what is this town coming to...
