UPDATE: Heavy rainfall warning continued for P.E.I

Up to 70 millimetres of rain expected by the end of the day Monday.

 

This is a warning that significant rainfall is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

 

A low pressure system over Quebec will continue to track north tonight as it deepens. A frontal system from this low will slowly move across the Maritimes tonight. This feature will begin to draw moisture from tropical storm Leslie..Which is well to the south..And give rain at times heavy to the province tonight Monday and Monday night. Total rainfall amounts of up to 70 millimetres are currently forecast for Eastern Prince Edward Island by Tuesday morning. Western Prince Edward Island will receive lesser amounts with up to 35 millimetres currently forecast.
