Summerside will again play host to one of North America's most well-known performers.
Following a year that saw Elton John and Jerry Seinfeld come to this city, Bryan Adams is now set to perform at Summerside's Credit Union Place on April 14. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Feb. 4.
This marks Adams' first cross-country tour in more than 20 years.
"Bryan Adams has singularly had one of the biggest, most commanding impacts on the Canadian music industry. We are thrilled to be able to bring Bryan and his band to so many cities across Canada to celebrate such a legacy of hits and share them with so many people. They are going to be remarkable nights, each and every one," said Paul Haagenson, president of Live Nation Canada.
The Canadian tour kicks off April 11 in St. John's, NL, with "One Night Only" concerts across Canada, wrapping on June 22 in Winnipeg. His only other Maritimes show will be in Halifax on April 15.
This tour marks a return to his full arena rock show alongside his longtime band, including guitarist Keith Scott, drummer Mickey Curry, keyboardist Gary Breit and bassist Norm Fisher.
Adams has toured six continents and achieved No. 1 status in more than 40 countries around the world. His hits include "Cuts Like A Knife," "Summer of 69," "Kids Wanna Rock," "Can't Stop This Thing We've Started," "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You," "Open Road" and "Thought I'd Seen Everything."
Outside of the recording studio, Adams has received honours such as the Order of Canada, an induction into the Juno Hall of Fame, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Governor General's Performing Arts Award for Lifetime Achievement, along with multiple Juno and Grammy awards.
Tickets for the Summerside show range in price from $27.25 to $102.25 (taxes & service charges included) at the Credit Union Place box office, by phone at (902) 432-1234 or online at www.evenko.ca or www.cupevents.ca.
