Noon-hour crash sends one person to hospital

One person was sent to hospital with minor injuries after an accident on Riverside Drive around noon Friday.

Traffic was down to two lanes soon after the accident and was moving smoothly with few delays before the road opened to all four lanes by 1 p.m.

Both vehicles were damaged in the crash, including one that had its back driver's side wheel ripped off and both vehicles had to be towed away.

Police at the scene had yet to determine what caused the two-vehicle accident and an investigation was ongoing.

I've seen this and hope everyone is OK because the other SUV, from Nova Scotia is totaled. It looked like the car (in picture) was in a wrong lane.
