Approximately 100 brave souls turned out New Years Day for the annual polar bear swim In the Charlottetown harbour.

The swimmers could not ask for better weather — mild temperatures and most importantly there was no ice to break through to get to the water. While the swimmers took to the water hundreds lined the shoreline to watch.

Thet ran in to the cold water and did not linger longer than necessary except for a few who stayed longer or went back in for a second dip.
