Confederation Bridge prepared to close

The Confederation Bridge has issued an advisory letting islanders (especially those in high-sided vehicles, on motorcycles or towing trailers) know they may have to stay put if winds are as high as predicted tomorrow.

The site-specific weather forecast received from Seimac Limited today indicates wind conditions on Saturday that may result in restrictions of traffic on the Confederation Bridge.

By noon Saturday, winds are projected in the 60-90 km/h range, gusting to 100 km/h. Those high winds are expected to last until 10 p.m. tomorrow night.
