"All" Islanders "Always" ?? We do NOT "Always" blame the farmers! Personally I start with the weakkneed politicians who haven't got what it takes to BAN those poisons that leach into the streams and Kill fishes. Also - If you are naive enough to think this is NOT the farmers - what is it? the oil spill? tsk tsk tsk .. The First step to fixing Any problem is to be Honest about it. Our farmers need to stop using Poison to enhance crop yield and 'appearance.'

Boy people sure are fast to jump all over EVERY farmer without knowing the facts. Funny thing is when you sit down to eat a meal do you think of the farmer that worked so hard to provide that for you? And what about the ones who follow all the rules and regulations you seem to always put them in the same class as the ones that don't.Do you really think that these farmers want to spend their time and money on chemicals if it was not necessary? Be careful what you wish for, no farmers means no food.

We read about this every year. Face it people ... it always rains on PEI. The use of so many chemicals has to be stopped, I'm sure living so close to so many chemicals aint good for you.
