And the show has certainly piqued Americans' interest in P.E.I.

Searches for Prince Edward Island peaked as the popular U.S. morning television show began airing live at 10 a.m. Monday.

Even as of 4:30 p.m. Monday — a full 6.5 hours after Americans started tuning in to Live! with Regis and Kelly hit the airwaves — Prince Edward Island was the fifth most popular search of the past hour in the U.S. on Google.

The province, with some financial assistance from Ottawa, spent $1 million to bring the show to the Island.

Its great that so many people around North America have been able to see our beautiful province....there are not many places in the world as nice as PEI.....but if we have to remember that if a lot of people come to PEI and try to start businesses here like resorts and stuff like that, our little province won't be the hidden gem it used to be and us Islanders will have to fight with tourists to enjoy it the way we want.

The extra Tourism exposure to PEI could also get American Movie Producers to look at PEI as a four season Movie location. The beautiful Sping, Summer and Fall and the rough, cold, desolate Winter season. The Americal dollar worth more than Canada's. The sweet deal Tax incentive the Federal Gov. introduced after certain former politicians with their business "associates" had invested the media & the entertainment-movie & tv industry.
