Kwik Kopy Design and Print Centre of Charlottetown has completed a sales agreement for the purchase of Island Offset Inc.
As of Feb. 2, Kwik Kopy Design and Print Centre will take over the operation of Island Offset.
During the transition, Island Offset at 16 Exhibition Dr. will continue to remain open.
"Island Offset has been in our family since its inception in 1969, and I have grown up with this business and with many of its customers," said Gaie Orton, general manager of Island Offset. "I would like to thank each and every one of my customers for their support and business over the years as I move on to a new chapter in my life."
Troy MacKenzie, co-owner of Kwik Kopy Design and Print Centre, says the purchase of Island Offset complements their operations and allows them to expand its print capabilities.
"We are also very pleased that we're able to offer most of the current Island Offset employees full-time positions within our company."
Kwik Kopy Design and Print Centre, an Island-owned business, is operated by brothers Shawn and Troy MacKenzie. Some of their print capabilities include full-process colour, colour and black and white digital reproduction, wide format printing and self-published books.
In operation since 1984, the Kwik Kopy Design and Print Centre now has 30 full-time employees and several part-time.
