MONTAGUE - The lights will shine again at the Whim Inn as the facility at one of the most distinctive crossroads in eastern P.E.I. plans for a reopening this spring.
It's been almost two years since closure signs went up at the well-known restaurant, bar and motel operation. That was in May 2008, but sources say the Poole's Corner operation will get a new lease on life when winter fades away.
Whether the name is changed is still up in the air, but it will no longer be an inn. Sources say it will reopen as a restaurant/bar and banquet facility, but the motel rooms will be offered up as long-term rental accommodations.

it's great that it will reopen as since it closed and rodds in montague closed there is no accomidations for people to stay from out of town which hurts this little town. rodd brudenell is only open in the summer months
it would be great if we had some place for people to stay rather than drive to charlottetown if give their money to hotels in there when montague could use a hotel or inn that is open in the winter as well as summer
