The Harbour Hippo, carrying passengers from the Maasdam, exits the Charlottetown Harbour.

The Maasdam has docked in the Charlottetown Harbour on one of its many stops to the city this summer.

Named for the Maas River in the Netherlands, the Maasdam is the fifth ship in Holland America Line's 135-year history to bear the name. It has a capacity to carry 1,258 passengers and 580 crew members. Not all of them would fit on the Harbor Hippo, though.
